Ohhh, Almost Paradise!!!

Here is a map of the Hawaii islands and we will be in Maui tomorrow. We are so flippin' excited we can't stand it. Especially with all the cold weather lately. I was shoveling snow Monday night and by tomorrow night I will be running my feet through the sand on the beaches of paradise. We will be walking along the beaches soaking up the rays. I can just picture it all now at my desk here at work. Ahh, what moment I am having right now just imagining it.
This is the state flower in Hawaii, I thought it was way pretty so I had to put a picture of it on here for you all to enjoy.

Decisions, Decisions.....

So here I am sitting at my desk at work just thinking about the conversation I had with my husband on the phone. He called to tell me that he got a phone call from The Ohio State University and they have accepted him to their school too. YIKES!!!!! Wow is all I can say. What do we think of this? Well it's pretty awesome to think that both schools he has applied and interviewed at have accepted him with open arms. Talk about "DECISIONS!!" But don't let me forget to say that Todd has one more interview in Berkeley California on the 2nd of February. So after this interview is over with, he is all done applying and interviewing. Those were the top three schools he wanted to go to and so far two want us. I am just so happy we have been accepted, I really don't care where we end up going for the next four years. I just want us both to feel good about our final decision and enjoy it. It will be an adventure either way for us, one we will always reflect on in the future. I just wanted to share this fun news with our friends and family because it's totally awesome. I am very proud of my husband, and can't wait to tell you all our final answer.

Color Me Mine

For my birthday day this year I got together with some of my close girlfriends and painted at Color Me Mine. If you have never heard of it or been there before you should go. It's way fun! You get to pick what piece of pottery you want to paint then you have to come up with something creative to put on it. I painted a black vase to go in our bedroom and the other girls painted different things like a happy birthday plate, coasters, a mug, and a platter. Of course the prices vary with what you want and you pay a sitting fee while you are there using all their supplies and such. There is no time limit so you can just take all the time you need. It was fun to get together since my hubby was sick over my birthday. Thanks girls, I had fun gabbing all night with you.

Birthday Jitters....

I am freaking out because I will be turning 28 this Saturday!!! Yikes, that is getting too close to 30 if you ask me. I am just sitting here at 9:30 at night while my poor husband is sleeping becuase he has the nasty flu. I feel so bad for him and really, really hope I don't get it. I guess I am bound to get it since we are married, sleep in the same bed, and kiss. I just cross my fingers I don't get it. I haven't seen him this miserably sick ever!! Poor guy is just struggling, but it will pass hopefully soon. Rest is the best medicine along with the nice Nyquil of course.

On a good note we will be headed for Maui, Hawaii 3 weeks from today!!!! We are so stinking excited to go to Hawaii, we have always talked about going there one day together for like our 10 year annivesary. But to our surprise for Christmas this year from Todd's blessed parents they are taking all their kids for a week. The nice part is it's only us adults......which means no nieces and nephews. Not that it's bad to take kids but it's even better to relax and give the parents a break from parenting. You can only imagine 9 adults ripping it up in Maui on the beaches soaking up the rays. We are already planning what we want to do while we are there. We are going to live it up because we don't know for sure when we will be back. Hopefully sooner than later. So once we get back be prepared for like a thousand pictures of paradise. For those of you that have been already I am sure you loved it there. I know that my cute friend Megan Lee went to school there. Lucky girl you Meg!!!

Berries and Cream Imitation

Here is my cute little niece Abbie imitating the Starburst Berries and Cream commerical. If you have never seen this commerical you have to check it out on youtube. There is a lad that is pretty much gay looking but does a funny dance. Abbie has it memorized and does the cutest imitation. Sorry the picture is sideways. I am new at the video stuff. This is my first try and it takes a long time to upload them. So sorry about this one.

Happy New Year Everyone!!

This is a picture of my wonderful in laws on Christmas Eve. From left to right is Todd's Grandma Christensen(who is 92 by the way), Jill (Todd's younger sister), Me, Rachelle(Todd's older sister), and Jeanne (my mother-in-law). I was so lucky to have married into such an amazing family. I love them all so much and can't believe I have known them for 10 years already. For Christmas I surprised Todd and got his motorcycle seat re-covered for one of his gifts. He was so happy and surprised. We love all the memories we have on this fun motorcycle. It has also saved us a lot on gas money over the years.
This is us at my mom's house on Christmas day. We love having both our families so close, it makes the holidays so nice to spend time with them all.
We had a really fun New Years Party with all our friends to celebrate the new year. We stayed up until 3 am playing games and laughing at each other. I can't believe that it's already a new year. Now it's time to make our usual new year's resolutions. 2008 here we come!!!
