So long BYU!!!

I am so happy and proud of my hubby Todd. He officially graduated from BYU last week with a Bachelor's degree in Integrated Biology. He has decided not to walk for this graduation considering he still has 4 more years in Optometry. He will for sure walk for graduation when he is finally done and finished with his professional career as a student. The poor kid just feels like there is no end to school but he is almost there. I am so excited for our adventure coming up in a few short months. It's been pretty stressful these last few weeks with looking for a place to live, getting all our "loans" started, and making sure we have all our stuff taken care of here in Utah before we make our big move out to Ohio. We truly are so blessed to have such wonderful support from both our families and all our friends.

A training we will go.....

This picture of a random guy I found on google images will be me in 7 weeks. On June 7th I will be starting and finishing the Salem, Utah sprint triathlon. I know you are thinking to yourself "is she crazy?" I am excited and nervous all at the same time. I have no problem with the biking or running part it's just the swimming that I am rusty at. Really I haven't done a lot of laps in my time but I still know how as long as I practice and have the right techniques. That is where my husband comes into the scene. He was part fish when he was born I swear, he loves swimming and it comes naturally for him. So with that in mind I have him as my personal trainer to help and guide me so I don't drown. I started training a week ago and from the first day I was pretty bad and drinking a ton of water in the mean time. But since then I have accomplished the 1/2 mile swim and did it in like 30 minutes. I really don't care what my time will be on this race because it's my first one and I just want to finish it. Each year I make a goal to accomplish like this one. The last 2 years I did a 1/2 marathon and 3 years ago I did a bike ride to raise money for Diabetes which was 60 miles total. That one was insane also but a wonderful accomplishment. For me, having a goal to work towards that makes me push myself is very invigorating. So here is to the next 7 weeks of training..........wish me luck!!!

(For those of you who are wondering how long a sprint triathlon is it's: 1/2 mile swim, 12 mile bike ride, and 3 mile run in that very order.)

Go Buckeye's!!

We are so happy to have our decision made to where we will be living for the next 4 years while Todd is going to Optometry school. It has been such a hard decision for us to make but we feel really good about living in Ohio and we know we will enjoy ourselves there. We already have a few friends out there so we feel very welcomed and loved before moving out there. We can't believe how fast the time is going and to think we will be leaving Utah in less than 4 months. This new adventure will be so much fun. We are just busy getting last minute stuff done while we are here. There has been many things that have fallen easily into our laps with making this decision which makes it feel right. We are so grateful for everyone's advice and kindness in helping us out. Soon we will become "Buckeye" fans and will be wearing red more than we ever have.

More Fun

This was an awesome sun set in St. George, talk about gorgeous!!
My handsome hubby. How lucky am I?
I took a picture of this ice cream cone because I do love ice cream. They have a lot of metal signs hanging around Cracker Barrel restaurant. This was one of them and I really liked it.
All the boys at the end of the girls shopping spree one afternoon. They look pretty tired but they were all such good sports.
Here are two of our guy friends who played I the longest game of checkers I have ever seen. Luckily there was a store in Cracker Barrel that kept the rest of us entertained.
