My friend Diego....

Here is me and my amazing friend Diego. I met Diego way back in high school my senior year. I was his peer tutor for a semester. But we became such good friends and have kept in touch for the past 10 years. Yesterday was his 30th birthday and every year I go to his party and it's fun to be able to sit and talk to him. He calls me once a week and writes emails or sends letters to keep in touch. He has to be one of the most amazing people I have ever met. He has the biggest heart and loves so many. If you remember him from high school or ever met him you know exactly what I am talking about.
Diego has an amazing artistic ability. He has drawn me many pictures and continues to paint and keep up with his talent taking many art classes since we were in high school. He even got a book published this year and I was able too look at all his wonderful works of art.I am so grateful to have him as a close friend in my life. He is always happy which brings a smile to my face every time I talk to him. If only there were more people out there like him. Thanks Diego for being such a wonderful person.

Painting Fools

Here is my hunk of love spray painting for his first time. We had lots of projects to work on at my dad's shop over the weekend. My older brother Dustin makes some of the most amazing furniture you will ever see. With his help and my younger sister Jentry we were able to paint our bedroom dresser and end tables black and add some new silver handles. I have been in a great need for a change so just something simple like paint did that for me. The original color of wood was a light pine. I have had this furniture since I was in junior high/high school. So it's been around a long time. No need to get new when we still have 4 more years of school.
Todd and I working hard to help my brother get some furniture finished.
Here are our final master pieces. I am happy with the way they turned out. It seems like black furniture is really in lately. I can see why, it's very classy looking. I can't wait to move into our new place and have a fresh look in our bedroom. Change is always a good thing.

It's SOLD!!

Sad but happy to say we sold Todd's motorcycle this morning. I posted it on Craig's List last night at 9 and 20 minutes later we got a phone call for it. I can't believe how fast this all happened. This morning the phone calls kept a coming. Todd had a guy who offered more then we had asked because he was dying to have it. So we sold it and even sold his helmet. It's such a blessing to have a little extra money for us so we can get moved out to Ohio. We are way sad to see it go because we have had some fun memories with it and it will be missed. I figure most people want to have a motorcycle because of gas prices right now. Which I don't blame them, we liked having it because of that reason. One day when Todd is finished with school he would like to get a new motorcycle. But we are also selling our 6 foot Love Sac if anyone is interested in it. It's a dark brown microfiber suede and in very good condition. We have only had it 2 years and has hardly been used. We hope to sell it for 275 dollars because we got it for 400 dollars. Just wanted to throw that out there if anyone you would know would be interested. I can post some pictures if any body wants to or you can look at it on Craig's List.

Beautiful Mountains of Utah

Besides missing both our families and friends when we move away we are going to REALLY miss the mountains. I just can't get enough of them. We have to absorb all the beauty we can while we are still here. We are all so blessed to have the protection from them. With all the stories that have been going on throughout the country about floods and tornadoes we have to be thankful we haven't been harmed. (knock on wood)
This is an amazing sunset with a gorgeous view from the Elkridge area above Spanish Fork.

My husband is so HOT!!!

Here is Todd on his dirt motorcycle. We have really loved having this to cruise around on and because its better for gas since prices are insane lately. Unfortunately, we are going to sell it before we move out of state. We figure we won't be using it that often so we may as well sell it. When Todd is done with school he wants to get himself a nice cruiser motorcycle. Well see what happens.
I just love my hubby, he is so cute. How did I get so lucky????

The Big Day!!

Am I really ready to do this? Man the water was freezing, good thing we had wet suits on.
Here we are before the race started. Me, my friend April Knapp, and my sister Kelsey!! The weather was very cold and rained for the first 2 hours. The sad thing about the rain was it cancelled the bike part of the race. We were all so upset, we had all trained hard so that was a disappointment. But we still did the swim and run which turned out good anyway.

The run was the big finish.
Here I am with Kelsey. We were happy to be finished and ready for another one.
My cute friend from work Sue Spencer lives in Salem and we ran right past her house in the race. She made a cute sign for me. She is so nice.

2 Day Countdown

I am getting very excited and nervous for my first sprint triathlon this Saturday. I feel I have trained well and hope that everything runs smoothly. The only part that makes me nervous is swimming in the open water with a ton of people. I hope not to drink too much water and hope I won't get kicked too many times in the head. Good thing I can get the swim part over with at first. After that I feel like I can finish just fine. I have loved getting in better shape and being able to be a better swimmer. I think this is just a start of many triathlons to come. Wish me luck!!! Cause I know I am going to need it.
